Big Creek Tunnel

The BCT mainline tunnel is approximately 22,300 LF of 20-ft (finished) diameter CSO storage tunnel, excavated in rock and supported with a bolted, gasketed, one-pass steel fiber reinforced concrete segmental lining. It includes six (6) tunnel drop shafts, an overflow tunnel, tunnel adits and consolidation sewers, sewer diversion & gate control structures including associated mechanical, electrical and instrumentation/control equipment, and other near surface and ancillary structures.
