Wood Pole Inspection, Treatment, and Restoration

Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) requires a qualified Contractor to inspect and assess an estimated 3,700 AMP-owned and joint-use wood poles. Base work includes visual inspection of all confirmed poles, intrusive testing of eligible poles, external groundline treatment of every serviceable or reinforceable excavated pole intended to remain in service, selective internal preservative or fumigant treatment, condition classification, reporting, and minimum inspection data. Optional work includes an expanded pole asset audit, enhanced O-Calc field survey, contractor-performed O-Calc loading analyses for up to 20 urgent poles, and a later steel-truss restoration phase.
