Town of Middlesex – Old Brook Road Slope Stabilization

The Town of Middlesex (Town) is requesting bids from qualified contractors for the stabilization of a steam bank and roadway embankment along Old Brook Road. This project consists of a Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) wall supporting the roadway's southbound (western) lane. The MSE wall will be supported by a soil nail stabilized slope extending down to the slope toe. Stone fill armoring will be placed at the toe of the slope and will be keyed into the bedrock to provide further stability. The contractor will be responsible for the final design of the soil nail stabilization system and the MSE wall.
