Storm Damage Repairs to Denton Road (TH-13) and Mason Road (TH-20)

The Town of Washington, Vermont is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for storm damage repairs to Denton Road (TH-13) and Mason Road (TH-20). Both roadways suffered extensive damages in the April 16th, 2026 high-volume rain storm and flash-flood event. Repairs laid out under the PROJECT SCOPE below are aimed at restoring washed out road material; replacing and upsizing damaged and overrun culverts; and retrenching and improving upon past roadside ditching segments. Taken together, these measures are meant to apply current best management practices required by ANR's Municipal Roads General Permit to some of our steepest and most flash-flood prone roadways. All repair work should be informed by and consistent with specifications laid out in VTrans' Vermont Better Roads Manual (January 2024).
