Open Enrollment (OE) For Project SEARCH

This Open Enrollment is for Project Search. Project SEARCH is an international initiative that supports partnerships among businesses (employers), local school districts, vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies, and other entities that serve individuals with disabilities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities. Project SEARCH promotes the successful long-term employment of VR customers in jobs that are stable, meaningful, integrated, and competitively compensated. Project SEARCH prepares students with disabilities for the workforce through total immersion in a business environment where students develop competitive, marketable, and transferable skills. The program is conducted for a full academic year. Each VR customer completes Asset Discovery, has the opportunity to build skills through three (3) unpaid internship rotations, and receives assistance in securing permanent, long-term, competitive employment.
