CSP #27-01 Electrical Upgrades, Buildings C30, C31, C32

Thefollowing summary of work is provided as a guide to assist contractors inunderstanding the general scope of electrical work that is part of thiscontract. Detailed descriptions and requirements are included in the drawingsand specifications: Thisproject consists of the replacement and reconfiguration of the existing 12.47kVmedium-voltage electrical distribution system serving Buildings C-30, C-31, andC-32. The work includes removal of associated medium-voltage conductors,installation of a new 12.47kV 1-in, 2-out PME-7 sectionalizer and equipmentpad, installation of new underground Quazite pull box, conduits, andmedium-voltage conductors, and reuse of the existing empty conduit pathwayserving the Building C-32 transformer. Existing medium-voltage conductorsserving the Building C-30 and C-31 transformers will remain and be reconnectedto the new sectionalizer. The work will be phased to allow portions of theconstruction to proceed concurrently and will include a coordinated finalsystem cutover intended to minimize the duration of the campus power outage andimpacts to ongoing campus operations.
