Sunset-Miller Resurfacing &Traffic Calming

The Beaufort County Resurfacing Plans: Sunset Boulevard (S-186) & Miller Drive West (S-187) include milling and resurfacing of two roads on Lady’s Island: (1) 0.346 mile of Sunset Boulevard (S-186) from US-21 Business (Sea Island Parkway) through the intersection with Miller Drive West (S-187) and (2) 0.322 mile of Miller Drive West (S-187) from Sunset Boulevard (S-186) to Sams Point Road (SC 802). The intersection at Sunset Boulevard and Miller Drive West will be realigned and a raised intersection will be constructed. The project also includes traffic calming items such as the construction of speed humps and replacement of speed limit signs on (1) Sunset Boulevard from US-21 Business to Wallace Road (S-186), (2) Miller Drive West from the intersection of Sunset Boulevard to Sams Point Road, and (3) Wallace Road from Sunset Boulevard to Sams Point Road. The project will be located within SCDOT’s right of way for the entirety of the project.
