The project magnitude is between $5- $15 million. This will be a full-and-open solicitation. Summary of Work: The intent of this project is to construct a new 400 KW photovoltaic array (PV) in conjunction with a battery energy storage system (BESS) at 1.5 MW, microgrid controller, two 500kW natural gas generators. The necessary electrical support infrastructure will be installed to connect the PV array and BESS to the EVCF and building 678 through the existing building transformer. This will provide redundancy in the electrical distribution system and the black start ability to switch between grid power, on base resilient power, and generators at the critical facilities. These will all be interconnected and controlled by a microgrid control system constructed by this project. The project also will include fire suppression system, all utilities, communications, site improvements, and associated support facilities.
