South Park Trail 2026

NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the City Clerk of North Platte, Nebraska, until 11:00 a.m., local time on July 28th, 2026, for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and plant and all else necessary to properly construct the South Park Trail 2026 consisting of approximately 7800 SY of Subgrade Prep, 3800 SY of 6” concrete paving, Net 1200 CY of Cut Material, 1250 CY of Fill Material, 670.0 ton of Crushed Concrete and appurtenances thereto. At which hour or as soon as possible thereafter, the City Clerk of North Platte, Nebraska, will proceed to open in a public letting, and consider the bids received for the construction of the aforesaid improvements. Bids shall be an aggregate on all work to be performed, broken down to accurately reflect unit prices for all estimated quantities. Plans and specifications are on file in the office of the City Clerk and the City Engineer. Bids will be received only on the proposal forms furnished by the City Engineer. The project will include all work necessary with the project to be completed by September 15th, 2026. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check, Bid Bond or a Certified Check in an amount equal to 5% of the Contractor's Bid of the cost of the project as a guarantee of good faith, and made payable to the City Treasurer. The Certified Check, Bid Bond or Cashier's Check may be retained by the City of North Platte as liquidated damages if such proposal is accepted, the contract is awarded, and the bidder fails to enter into a contract in the form prescribed with satisfactory surety within ten (10) days after the award is made. The checks of the two (2) low bidders will be returned after the contract, and the bond is executed by the successful bidder. Checks will be returned to each of the other unsuccessful bidders. Each Contractor bidding upon the work described in this Notice, at the same time as the filing of the bid shall file with the Mayor and City Council of the City of North Platte, Nebraska, a statement that he is complying with and will continue to comply with fair labor standards as defined in Section 73-104 R.S. Nebraska, 2043, in the pursuit of his business and in the execution of the contract on which he is bidding. There shall be written into the contract for the construction of the work referred to herein a provision that in the execution of such contract fair labor standards as so defined shall be maintained. The City of North Platte, Nebraska, reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids.
