INVITATION TO BID - Electrical Utilities Building Addition The City of North Platte Nebraska, 211 West 3rd Street, North Platte Nebraska 69101 will receive sealed proposals for Electrical Utilities Building Addition until 11:00 am Central Time on August 11th, 2026. Proposals shall be opened publically at that time for a single prime contract covering all the work. Time & Place for Receipt of Bids: Sealed Bid Proposal will be received and publicly opened and read allowed as follows: August 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM Central Time. Place of Receipt of Hand-Carried Bids: City Hall Council Chambers, 211 West 3rd Street, North Platte Nebraska 69101. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site during business hours prior to bid date The project shall consist of removal of existing concrete paving and building of Pre-Engineered Metal Building for maintenance shop storage. All bids shall be made on the printed proposal forms issued by the Architect. One proposal will be accepted for the installation of a new space and all associated items within the space as specified on drawings, which includes any possible associated materials, labor or equipment, electrical and/or mechanical work. Plans and specifications may be obtained from Architect, Lee Davies Architecture by calling 308-530-9138 or by the city web site, www.northplattene.gov/bids . At the time of filing their bids, all bidders will be required to furnish a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of their proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in a sum equal to 100% of the contract price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish proof of all builders? risk insurance coverage, naming City of North Platte as an additional insured which includes off-site and transit coverage to cover the value of the materials, equipment and/or machinery involved in the project. The successful bidder will also be required to provide evidence of adequate worker's compensation, general liability and automobile liability insurance coverage, with limits and insurers acceptable to the City of North Platte. Each bidder must specifically agree not to discriminate against any recipients of service on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, handicap or age and not to discriminate against any employees or applicants for employment on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex or otherwise qualified status. City of North Platte reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid considered advantageous to the City.
