This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 123A9426Q0043 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 3-row Sugarcane Cultivator. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service in Houma, LA has a need for a 3-row sugarcane cultivator to maintain all field research plots at the Ardoyne Research Farm. Timely cultivation of the field plots is critical to control weeds and ensure adequate drainage of the fields. The unit currently used is showing excessive wear and has become costly to repair. Detailed product specifications and requirements are as follows: 1.0 Specifications Description: One (1) 3-row sugarcane cultivator with the minimum Requirements: Main Tool Bar: 4”x 8”x 3/8” wall GANG TOOL BAR: 4" x 6" x 3/8" wall Center row spring loaded Six (6) 4-Disc Gangs, Fully Adjustable, 22" x 1/4" Notch Disc Re-lube bearings 7-1/2" DISC SPA ING, 1-1/8"SQ. AXEL All Grade 8 bolts, nuts and washers Six (6) 2-Disc Off bar gangs, fully adjustable, 22” x ¼” Notch Disc, Re-lub bearings 7-1/2” Disc spacing, 1-1/8” sq. Axel All Grade 8 bolts, nuts and washers Six (6) set of Dirt Shields and Clamps Three (3) set of Middle Busting Plows with clamps Built for 72” row spacing or customer’s choice This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 333111 The small business size standard is 1,250 employees. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
