The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has purchased property for a total of 2,629.65 acres. The property is in LaSalle County, adjacent to Matthieson , Starved Rock State Parks, Parcel 368-23. The property was acquired from Lone Star Industries for $11,050,000 through the states Open Land Trust. Closing Date October 25, 2018.
