GLENWOOD AVENUE BYPASS SYSTEM PROJECT

Glenwood Avenue Bypass System Project The City of Dalton has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to obtain Proposals from qualified Contractors to construct a stormwater conveyance system located from 631 Glenwood Avenue, Dalton, GA 30720 to 622 North Elm Street, Dalton, GA 30720. This project consists of installation of various stormwater assets, utility adjustments, open trenching, demolition existing asphalt & concrete, installation of new asphalt & concrete, clearing & grubbing, traffic control, general site grading, and fine grading. This project will employ a numerically scored proposal procurement process to encourage a creative, problem-solving approach efforts of an experienced, highly motivated Contractor. The contractor shall prepare a highly detailed proposal based upon the conditions and requirements specified within the request for proposals document which can be obtained through the City�s website at https://www.daltonga.gov/Bids.aspx. A Mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for 1:00 PM on May 4th, 2026 at the Public Works Office located at 535 Elm Street Dalton, Georgia 30721. The deadline for requests for clarifications and questions is May 7th, 2026. Sealed proposals shall be opened on May 21st, 2026 at 2:00PM at City Hall located at 300 W Waugh St, Dalton, GA 30720. In order to be considered a qualified proposal, the contractor must be in compliance with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act and shall submit with their proposal packet, a signed and notarized affidavit verifying its compliance with O.C.G.A. �13-10-91. The RFP, specifications, and contract documents for this Project are open to public inspection at the City of Dalton Public Works Department located at 535 Elm Street, Dalton, Georgia 30721.
