Construction of Sun Mountain Boulevard

The Sun Mountain Boulevard project involves constructing a new 0.75-mile, two-lane roadway connecting 31st Street to the north and 24th Street to the south. This new roadway will feature stop-controlled intersections at 31st Street and the future 27th Street, crossing Wildhorse Creek Drainageway. Additional improvements include Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps, curb and gutter, a new storm sewer system, a bioswale, new water mains, sanitary sewer lines and signing and striping. The crossing at Wildhorse Creek Drainageway will also require a double box culvert, headwalls, wingwalls and channel grading.
