The Port is seeking a qualified consultant to develop a comprehensive study that quantifies the economic and fiscal impact of Port-related activities within the City. This local economic and fiscal impact analysis and workforce study will also examine the impact of foreign-owned enterprises and evaluate the current and future workforce needs associated with port related industries. The selected consultant will produce an integrated analysis and final report within a 12-month completion timeline that: 1. Measures the Port’s direct, indirect, and induced economic and fiscal contributions to the City; 2. Identifies and evaluates the economic impacts of foreign-owned enterprises within the diverse ecosystem of maritime, logistics and goods-movement industries; 3. Assesses the characteristics and composition of the current port related workforce; and 4. Forecasts future workforce demand by industry and occupation, identifying gaps in the local talent pipeline and opportunities for targeted workforce development. The Port expects to award one contract from this procurement.
