California Clinical Laboratory Law requires that anyone working in a clinical chemistry laboratory must hold a CLS license in clinical chemistry. Their presence is crucial for regulatory compliance, quality testing, result interpretation, emergency response, research advancement, patient safety, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. LFS is required by California law to inspect licensed clinical laboratories at least every two years, a process governed by the federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).
