Purpose: This is a competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission’s (CEC’s) Clean Transportation Program announces the availability of up to $10,000,000 in grant funds for projects that will install light-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in rural communities. This is a competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission’s (CEC’s) Clean Transportation Program announces the availability of up to $10,000,000 in grant funds for projects that will install light-duty electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in rural communities. The purpose of the Rural Electric Vehicle Charging 2.0 (REV 2.0) Solicitation is to: · Provide convenient, reliable charging for rural residents and people traveling through rural communities. · Increase EV adoption in rural areas, especially in low-income or disadvantaged communities. · Demonstrate replicable and scalable business and technology models that can drive EV charging stations to serve rural EV drivers. Eligible Applicants: This solicitation is open to all public and private entities including California Native American Tribes, and California Tribal Organizations serving California Native American Tribes. Eligible Geographies: Ineligible applicants include investor-owned utilities. Matching Funding: Applications must include a minimum 20 percent total match share for this solicitation.
