Description

QUICK GUIDE FOR BIDDERS (For information only. The full IFB controls.) What the County needs: Windshield and other vehicle glass replacement and chip repair for County cars, light trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and equipment in the Globe and Payson areas. Four categories—bid any one or more: Category 1A - Globe Automotive Glass: cars and light trucks Category 1B - Globe Heavy-Duty Truck and Equipment Glass: heavy-duty trucks and equipment Category 2A - Payson Automotive Glass: cars and light trucks Category 2B - Payson Heavy-Duty Truck and Equipment Glass: heavy-duty trucks and equipment You only need to be able to do the type of work in the category(ies) you bid. How contracts are awarded: The County intends to award a contract to every shop that submits a complete bid and meets the requirements for the category(ies) it bids, subject to approval by the Board of Supervisors. How you get work: When a County vehicle or piece of equipment needs glass work, General Services will call or email the awarded shops in that category for a price and availability. Your price must be based on the rates you bid. The job will normally go to the responding shop offering the lowest price that can complete the work within the required schedule. A shop may decline an individual job if it is unavailable, without losing the opportunity to be considered for future work. There is no minimum amount of work guaranteed. What you price: For each category you bid, provide (1) your hourly labor rate and (2) your travel charge, either per hour or a flat per trip. You will also provide (3) one markup percentage on glass and parts that applies to all categories you bid. Where work is performed: Mobile service is not required. Work may be performed at the County shop or, if agreed upon for a particular job, at the Contractor's shop. How you get paid: The County pays within 15 days after receiving a complete and accurate invoice. You do not need: AGRSS certification, government references, or prior government contracting experience. Insurance: You do not need to send insurance certificates with your bid. Insurance documentation is required only if you are selected for award. A Contractor that performs all work at County facilities and does not operate or transport County vehicles is not required to carry Garagekeepers Legal Liability insurance. Please show Article 13 to your insurance agent before bidding to confirm that your business can meet the insurance requirements that apply to the services it will provide.
