Capabilities

RIE Consultants is a small business providing hydraulic and hydrologic modeling and design services to solve flow and environmental problems for water, flood and storm surge protection, navigation, river restoration, dams, and hydro infrastructure. RIE offers a wide range of numerical modeling services, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), hydraulic transient (surge) analysis, hydrodynamic, hydrologic, sediment transport, and water quality modeling. Its principal engineers have successfully completed over 100 task orders for various USACE Districts. At RIE, we use a wide range of 1-D, 2-D, and 3-D numerical modeling software, including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, EFDC, RMA2, AdH, and SED-2D. We use the widely available CFD modeling software, including STAR-CCM+ by Siemens, Fluent by Ansys, and FLOW-3D by Flow Science.
