The Exersides Refraint System is a safe physical restraint alternative to wrist, mitt or elbow restraints to allow patients to move their arms rather than remaining tied to their bed. It allows continual physical, occupational and cognitive therapy and stimulation while intubated on a ventilator or confused, with medical equipment attached to them. It decreases agitation and the need for sedation to help patients with illness, injury, surgery, delirium or PTSD, speed the healing process, and prevent immobility complications like pressure ulcers, pneumonias, and muscle wasting. Our companion virtual reality application, DelTrain VR, is used for medical staff education and training. A+Ox3 is an educational course to incorporate medical staff learning, policy and process creation and administration collaboration to improve bedside workflow.
