DFX1 Forensics is a Virginia small business, founded and run by law enforcement officers, that builds the DF-X1 Forensic Console — a small, standalone desktop device that screens unknown USB drives, external drives, and SD cards for malware and hardware (BadUSB) attacks before the media is ever connected to a networked computer. It hardware write-blocks the media, records a SHA-256 chain-of-custody hash, and returns a plain GREEN (cleared) / RED (threat) verdict — fully offline, no training required. Built for law enforcement, government, defense, and critical-infrastructure operators. Patent-pending. DF-X1 helps operators satisfy NIST 800-53 MP-7 and SI-3, CMMC/800-171 3.8.7, and NISPOM removable-media controls in a single device.
