TRAP-ICs, Inc. is a fabless semiconductor IP company developing Transistor-Level Programmable Fabric, or TRAP, for secure hardware redaction and protected logic insertion in standard CMOS processes. TRAP enables selected ASIC regions to remain configurable after fabrication, helping protect sensitive mission logic while reducing the area, power, and performance overhead associated with conventional embedded FPGA approaches. The company’s capabilities span custom fabric architecture, SRAM-based configuration storage, programmable interconnect, RTL-to-fabric mapping, placement and routing, bitstream generation, verification, timing analysis, and silicon validation. With multiple GF12LP prototype tapeouts and a PhD-level founding team, TRAP-ICs supports defense microelectronics programs requiring compact, secure, programmable logic for SWaP-constrained systems.
