Hydroseeding is a planting process which uses a slurry mixture made up of water, grass seed, paper or wood mulch, and a fertilizer. The slurry is applied with pressure to the prepared soil surface for quick seed germination and a nice, even lawn development. It is often used as an erosion control technique on construction sites as well as a method of planting grass in home lawns and along roadways, as an alternative to the traditional process of planting dry seed or laying sod.
