EMx Biotech’s mission is to revolutionize clinical vital sign monitoring through generative AI. Our flagship AI system, xBP, is focused on palliating the risks of invasive blood pressure monitoring for hospitals, clinics, and EMS systems. Today, blood pressure is monitored either through non-invasive cuff-based or invasive arterial methods. Cuff-based methods are susceptible to operator error, causing inaccuracies leading to hypertension misdiagnosis and discordant medication prescriptions. In contrast, arterial monitoring is highly accurate but invasive, expensive, and restricted to specialized settings. Clinicians need a low-cost way to combine the best of arterial monitoring’s accurate, real-time, and continuous view of blood pressure with the non-invasive, low-risk accessibility of cuff-based methods.
