Seionics LLC is a U.S. small business developing high-energy, high-power rechargeable battery systems for defense and commercial applications. Its flagship program is manufacturable rechargeable lithium-air batteries aligned with DARPA ExPEDitions objectives — With a cell-level trajectory >3 kWh/kg — developed with a national-lab and university team (LBNL, Argonne, UIC, SMU, University of Rhode Island) and U.S. battery-manufacturing partners spanning chemistry, cell build, BMS, and safety. Defense pathways include extended-endurance undersea vehicles, expeditionary and silent-watch power, and hybrid integration with mobile microreactor platforms. Supporting these programs, Seionics operates an AI-enabled materials qualification platform combining GPU-based screening with bounded quantum validation on IBM Quantum.
