Capabilities

The facilities for processing of non-hazardous solid and/or liquid waste have been identified as an important component within the infrastructure necessary for the management and disposal of solid waste. These have become more pertinent as the majority of solid waste disposal facilities on the Island are reaching the end of their useful life. By reducing the amount of solid waste that can reach a final disposal facility, whether sanitary landfill systems (SRS) or used water treatment plants of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), processing and recycling facilities /materials/waste recovery can offer an efficient and economically effective way to manage and dispose of such waste.
