Informatics Studio is a communications research, design, and technology collaborative founded in 1992. Rooted in both academic and practical experience, the firm partners with the public sector, research organizations, and mission-driven companies to support target audiences, enhance understanding, and drive social change. Based in Pittsburgh with a well-established national presence, we provide design research and strategy, visual communications design, data visualization, user experience/user interface (UX/UI) design, and the development of digital tools and technologies. We have led the design and implementation of multifaceted communications and technology programs to support initiatives at the U.S. Department of Education, the National Institutes of Health, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the United Nations Development Programme, the World Bank Group, and RAND Corporation.
