Qualified Type 2 Hand Crews: Provision of highly trained and certified 18–20-person Type 2 wildland firefighting hand crews for fire suppression and all-hazard incidents. Tactical Operations: Specialized in constructing fire lines, conducting firing operations, mop-up, and fire line rehabilitation in challenging terrain and fuel conditions. All-Hazard Response: Capabilities extend beyond wildland fire to include incident support for floods, storms, and other natural disasters. Equipment and Logistics: Self-sufficient crews with all necessary hand tools, chainsaws, personal protective equipment (PPE), and transport to ensure readiness and mobility. Incident Management: Experienced in working within the Incident Command System, coordinating with other firefighting resources, and following tactical plans set by incident command.
