Designing and manufacturing automated home medication dispensers that solve adherence challenges for forgetful patients. The cloud-supported MedaCube system holds up to a 90 day supply of 16 different medications that a caregiver bulk loads; it prepares and administers each dose at the prescribed time, notifying caregivers about late and missed doses with a live Web-portal accessible medication administration record with dose photos while maintaining the inventory. This technology utilizes active patient engagement and cloud tracking to eliminate missed doses, optimize home health inventory management, decrease hospitalizations and transitions to nursing homes with reduced caregiver burden and burnout and improved health outcomes.
