Our flagship product; the patented HABU® Mod 1 for 5.56mm/.223, was released to the public in May, 2016. It is a re-designed AR-15 charging handle combined with an attached cheek riser. It eliminates the problem of cheek rest devices getting in the way of the charging function of the rifle system in all adjustable stock positions. Features for Mod 1 include: • Ambidextrous - Stippling allows shooter to get more powerful/natural grip on the “real estate.” • Natural Gripping Motion (Like racking a pistol slide) • Use only Major Motor Skills; critical in firefights. • Easily operated in cold weather environments using heavy gloves • Works with fixed or adjustable stocks. *During preliminary testing of charging handles while shooting suppressed at the US Army’s Aberdeen Proving Grounds, HABU® mitigated gasses away from shooters face at twice the rate over other charging handles including the Gas Buster charging handle.
