IRD Glass and IRD Ceramics do things that virtually no one else in the world does with glass, sapphire and more. Their Midwest workforce is highly skilled and cross-trained, enabling IRD to provide you with a dedicated work cell strategically assembled to address your specific needs. Small enough to be nimble, big enough to be reliable, IRD Glass provides their partners with a full spectrum of custom glass and ceramic manufacturing capabilities, from machining to polishing to assembly. Typical components include sapphire windows, silicon carbide, silicon nitride, fused silica windows, traditional optics, ring-laser gyro bodies, ceramics, sub-assemblies and optical thin film coatings. IRD Glass has the talent and experience to produce the parts and they have the back-end metrology to measure and validate their processes.
