Big Kahuna Charters, LLC, one of the largest charter companies in the Great Lakes region of North America, makes available a fleet of 35?-38? mid-range charter boats, and, since 2004, has provided a boat and crew to the U.S. Coast Guard. As a government contractor, Big Kahuna Charters makes available to the Coast Guard a boat three or four days each week, which provides it with a vessel for rescue training and also for transporting people and products around the Great Lakes region. Big Kahuna Charters also: Provides a vessel and crew to the U.S. Forest Service for the purposes of testing military prototype drones and other devices under development Provides a vessel and crew for TV and magazine crews interested in researching and/or filming in the Great Lakes region Runs fishing charters for groups of all sizes Takes local Cub Scouts on tours of the Great Lakes region Is involved with the Maritime Heritage Alliance and the Children’s Great Lakes Museum.
