FARMING FUNGI LLC is a regenerative agriculture, food manufacturing, and biotechnology company in Maine specializing in USDA-certified organic specialty mushrooms and fungi-based environmental solutions. We cultivate gourmet and functional mushrooms (shiitake, lion’s mane, oyster) using controlled-environment systems and produce dehydrated, freeze-dried, and value-added products for regional distribution. Our wholesale network includes Hannaford, Whole Foods, Sysco, US Foods, and Crown O’ Maine. We develop myco-cellulose composites and spent-substrate filtration media for PFAS-contaminated soils in partnership with state agencies, academic institutions, and environmental researchers. Our circular production model transforms agricultural byproducts into high-value foods and remediation inputs, supported by solar integration, zero-waste practices, and ongoing R&D in fungal biotechnology.
