I am a Labor Arbitrator who is on the roster of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), Washington, D.C. In that capacity, I am chosen to arbitrate grievances between public sector unions and federal agencies. i conduct labor arbitration hearings where I preside and collect evidence from witnesses and from the parties' representatives. I have to review testimony and evidentiary exhibits. i also perform legal research on labor law and write decisions which are binding on the parties. These decisions are appealable to the Federal Labor Relations Authority in Washington, D.C. and in disciplinary cases to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C.
