Ms. McNeive was in private practice in the areas of labor-management relations, worker’s compensation, social security disability, ERISA funds and equal employment opportunity law. She was a Commissioner with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service for almost 21 years. During her tenure with FMCS, Ms. McNeive mediated private sector contract disputes in numerous areas including but not limited to education, health care, manufacturing, transportation and utilities. In addition, she mediated public sector contract negotiations for the federal, state and local governments. Her duties with FMCS also included conducting mediation of grievances and equal employment opportunity claims. She has conducted training sessions in alternate dispute resolution processes, communications, interest-based problem solving, establishing labor-management committees, conducting effective meetings, steward-supervisor relations, and various types of contract negotiation processes.
