Capabilities

Advanced Cooling Therapy (ACT) is an emerging medical device company that designs, manufactures, and sells temperature management products. Its first product, the Esophageal Cooling Device (ECD), is inserted in a manner similar to a standard orogastric tube and can be used to control patient temperature in the operating room, recovery room, emergency room, or intensive care unit. The ECD interfaces with commercially available external heat exchangers, such as the Gaymar/Stryker Medi-Therm III Hyper/Hypothermia System (Model ECD01) and Cincinnati Sub-Zero Blanketrol II or Blanketrol III Hyper-Hypothermia System (Model ECD02).
