Capabilities

Breakwater Cyber Corp. supplies the named Cybersecurity Officer (CySO) that maritime facilities regulated under 33 CFR Part 101 Subpart F, the Coast Guard's cybersecurity rule, must designate. We also do the rest of the facility's Subpart F compliance work: the Cybersecurity Assessment, the fourteen-section Cybersecurity Plan and its filing, training, two drills and one exercise a year, incident reporting, records, and checking known exploited vulnerabilities against the facility's own equipment. The annual audit is done by a Breakwater officer who holds no designation at that site, because the rule bars anyone with regularly assigned cybersecurity duties at a facility from auditing it. Officers are hired as W-2 employees and travel to the facility for the walkdown, drills and exercise. Subpart F is the only work we do. The Assessment and Plan are due by 16 July 2027.
