Capabilities

Beloved, the Black woman has an experience like no other woman in America. She is called upon by all to show up and protected by none. She has had to develop a certain level of resiliency that makes it hard for her and society to view her as a woman in need. I train Centers of Trust (Places Black women go because we trust and feel safe there) and Centers of Must (Places she goes because she needs their services) and teach them how to culture-knowledgeably respond to Black women in crisis . I train women on the lesser-known types of DV and the culturally-responsive tools here in the greater DSM area and the state of Iowa.
