Mantis Gear LLC is a USMC Veteran owned company located in Landrum, SC. Derrick Willard, owner and creator of the Mantis, took his knowledge and experience gained while enlisted as an amphibious assault vehicle operator and law enforcement officer to create a patented new revolutionary, tactical, mobile balance restraint system to replace the outdated traditional sling. This will improve the operator’s form, function, and endurance. The Mantis is a game changer for the future of slings and beyond. Mantis gear recently attended the Modern-Day Marine Convention in Washington, DC and received tremendously positive feedback including a CWO 5 stating the Mantis would be ideal for Special Forces. The Mantis is fully operational, ready for military field testing, and ready for manufacturing.
