Hackshaw Communications grew out of the Caribbean Center for Understanding Media, a non-profit 501C3 company started in 1977 in the United States Virgin Islands. Ademah Hackshaw Muhammad was the CEO of CCUM, and formed Hackshaw Communications in 1990 when he relocated back to mainland United States. To this day, Hackshaw has worked in over 46 countries creating a global perspective for events and productions.
