Spalding Concrete Company was established as a family owned business in 1946. During the 1950’s through the 1960’s SCC was a large concrete construction company specializing in swimming pools that were built for cities, clubs and homeowners throughout the southeast. They were also a local asphalt producer and paving company. The company was purchased by an employee of 22 years who then handed it down to his own sons. They managed the local family business until retirement when they sold it to the current owner.
