Capabilities

Founded in 2018, Space Initiatives Inc (SII) offers research and development centered on spaceflight and space science products, services, project management and scientific writing. We have also developed small nano- and picospacecraft products, including “Pankos™” boxes and the award-winning “Mote™” penetrators for deploying instruments on and into the lunar surface, together with “COMPASS™” navigation beacons. The Mote penetrator product line, initiated with an AFWERX STTR Phase I award, was used as the basis of the SII "Ringside Seats™” lunar lander support service, which was a winner of 2023 NASA Entrepreneur Challenge Phase I and Phase II Awards. SII also won a NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) award in 2024 to develop swarm spacecraft techniques based on Coracle™ spacecraft.
