Dandelion Medical Devices, Inc. is a startup company focused on solving the problem of weak pulse detection. Its solution, PulseTape, is a small, ultralight weight, wearable or applicable technology that detects not only the presence or absence of a pulse but also the relative pulse strength, rate, and trajectory. This data can be used to inform first responders and medical personnel real-time and continuously to facilitate resuscitation of medically ill or injured individuals on any scale, to include mass casualty events. Whereas the current subjective pulse assessment by manual palpation has been known to be inaccurate, inadequate, and outdated, PulseTape replaces this manual task with objective, real-time, actionable data, which will cause a massive change in how we evaluate, triage, resuscitate, and re-triage at any point along a patient's care.
