Protagonist is the creator and sole provider of Narrative Analytics®. We help organizations understand narratives - beliefs and perceptions - at scale. Narrative Analytics incorporates proprietary algorithms optimized for identifying rich narrative content in noisy media environments. It leverages very large, unstructured sets of traditional and social media data to find and analyze the narratives that reflect the beliefs and guide the behavior of populations and specific constituencies. Narrative Analytics is a set of capabilities that brings together qualitative socio-cultural analytic methods with quantitative big data analytics to identify, quantify, and analyze narratives. It measures how narratives change over time, which influencers drive certain narratives, how emotion and sentiment are expressed through narratives, and which narratives are emerging. As such, Narrative Analytics is a critical means for measuring the real impact of any communications strategy.
