eduKatey supports K-12 educators to make meaningful, relevant, and memorable learning experiences through integrated science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) instruction. Owner Katey Shirey, Ph.D., has over 15 years of experience in education from teaching high school physics and undergraduate sculpture, to developing curriculum, leading teacher professional development (PD) programs, and authoring education research and commentary. Dr. Shirey’s core competencies include designing, facilitating, and evaluating teacher PD on engineering and STEAM instruction, coaching secondary STEAM educators, and designing research and assessment programs to investigate the success of STEAM instruction and teacher growth. She is also a certified arts-integration specialist and is trained in arts-integration education across all grades and subject areas.
