Resonance Micro Technologies, with the Rakich Lab at Yale University, is pioneering a new class of ultra-low noise, chip-scale, portable optical vacuum-gap micro-resonators. These devices feature microfabricated super mirrors bonded to a hollow spacer and sealed in vacuum, eliminating the need for complex external vacuum systems. This innovation achieves superior noise performance while overcoming portability and manufacturability challenges. They can be produced using high-volume, high-rate manufacturing processes that support steep volume cost scaling consistent with emerging challenges in modern warfare and the cost-efficiency expectations of commercial markets.
