PRIMA Environmental, Inc. is a woman-owned small business and independent laboratory that specializes in scientific bench-scale treatability testing, technology evaluation, unusual analyses, and scientific consulting services. PRIMA has been conducting this work since 1998. Technologies evaluated include permanganate, activated persulfate, Fenton’s reagent, ozone, calcium polysulfide, zero-valent iron, metal stabilization, and stimulation/enhancement of biodegradation. Unusual analyses include in vitro bioaccessibility of lead or arsenic in soil, acid volatile sulfide and aquatic humic substances. Contaminants evaluated include BTEX, TPH, chlorinated solvents, 1,4-dioxane, carbon tetrachloride, NDMA, PAHs, PCP, DDT, Cr(VI), lead, nitrate, perchlorate, and arsenic. PRIMA’s clients are independent consultants as well as large environmental firms, while sites range from gas stations and dry cleaners to Department of Defense sites and Superfund sites.
