Variable Systems develops deterministic run-time assurance (RTA) safety monitors that let defense programs field AI and autonomy without certifying the AI itself. Our ~1KB WebAssembly monitor (no_std Rust, zero-heap, sub-microsecond, 250Hz) sits in-loop between a learning-based controller and the actuators, overriding only unsafe commands in real time. Demonstrators show zero structural breakups and zero terrain impacts across guarded runs where an unguarded controller fails. Additional validated capabilities: high-heat-flux thermal simulation (verified against published arc-jet data to ~5-11%, no fitted parameters), GPU-accelerated Bayesian signal detection and sensor fusion, multiphysics FEA, and air-gapped AI output verification with tamper-evident provenance.
