Capabilities

ISTM provides the following:1. An 8-hour and40-hour, skills/scenario-based course in Tactical Medicine/Active Shooter Response training for first responders, including fundamental techniques in tactical response, live-fire weapons training, and basic and advanced medical care, in a force-on-force, realistic training environment. 2. A 6-hour scenario-based course, training civilians to respond to an Active Shooter threat, utilizing Run, Hide, Fight skills, and Stop the Bleed medical care.Lecture based learning providing essential information required for skills and scenario exercises.Tactical skills training required to respond to an active threat.Live-fire weapons training, to enforce proper weapon competency and safety.Civilian Course: Understanding active shooter threat behaviors and pre-threat indicators.
