Capabilities

The facility has been operational since 1994, providing healthcare primarily for children from birth through college. Three years ago, a family practice nurse practitioner was hired. Now the practice provides primary healthcare for patients from birth to 65 years of age, as well as treatment of opioid addiction. In 2008, the state's first stand-alone children's environmental health clinic was established in Anniston/Calhoun County, Alabama. The practice partners on grants and contracts with The Martin Foundation, Inc. and its rural clinical site in Talladega, AL to address and reduce the region's health, environmental, and economic disparities. The owner of the facility is certified to do clinical research and welcomes studies and clinical trials for both children and adults. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, the facility has kept its doors open and now operates a Covid-19 shot clinic while continuing to screen the Covid-19.
